To get a domain for your business, you need to find one first.

There are a number of choices out there of companies to buy one from. They’re called Domain Registrars. But to save you searching, use the one I use.

I use Go Daddy.

I’ve used them for years, and never had a problem with them.

To make it easy for you, I’ve embedded a Go Daddy search box here for you, just put in the name you’re thinking about for your domain, and click GO (it’ll open up another web page for you):

NOTE: You want to try and get a .com address if you can, which will help you grow your business internationally over time more easily.

Once you’ve found a name you like, then order it through GoDaddy. You’ll be offered lots of options, and if you already have hosting and emails, or you’re planning to get hosting from The Solo Journey Hosting, then you don’t need any additional options, just click ‘next’ at each stage through to checkout.

If you’re in New Zealand, and want a address, use Discount Domains: Discount Domain Website

SECOND NOTE: When buying a domain, if its for a squeeze page, get 1 year, if its for a longer term website, then buy a minimum of 3 years, this helps with Google rankings.
